Who is James Allen

 James Allen

James Allen (1864-1912) was a British philosophical writer and poet who is best known for his book "As a Man Thinker". He was a pioneer in the self-help and personal development genres, and his works continue to be widely read and studied today.

Allen was born in Leicester, England, and worked as a factory worker and journalist before turning to writing full-time. He wrote over 20 books during his lifetime, many of which focused on the themes of self-improvement, personal responsibility, and the power of thought.

"As a Man Thinketh", published in 1902, is perhaps Allen's most famous work. The book is a short essay that argues that our thoughts shape our lives and that we have the power to control our thoughts and, therefore, our destinies. It has been highly influential in the self-help and personal development fields, and has been widely translated and reprinted.

Other notable works by Allen include "Byways to Blessedness", "The Mastery of Destiny", and "The Life Triumphant". His writing emphasizes the importance of cultivating positive habits and attitudes, such as gratitude, faith, and perseverance, in order to achieve success and happiness.

Allen died in 1912 at the age of 47, but his legacy continues to inspire and influence people around the world.
