Wallace D. Wattles (1860-1911) was an American author and speaker who wrote several books in the early 20th century on the topics of success, wealth creation, and personal development. He is best known for his book "The Science of Getting Rich," which has become a classic in the self-help genre and has influenced many other authors and motivational speakers.

 

Wattles was born in Illinois, USA, and started his career as a farm laborer and later worked as a door-to-door salesman. He began writing books and articles on these topics and gave lectures on the subject.
